One of the sleeper hits of '96, Mo' Thugs Family Scriptures was one of the better albums of that year, but never reached the success plateu it should have... this time around they hope to accomplish more than their double platinum predecessor. And of course featuring the incredible (but maybe a bit over rated) Bone Thugs N Harmony...that just might be possible. Here's how Mo' Thugs Family Scriptures Chapter II: Family Reunion fared on my book.......

The Album starts off with "Mo Thug Intro"... an okay intro... nothing special at all...

Next we go to the first track "Mighty Mighty Warrior"...my thoughts on this track are mixed... it starts out kind of lame... but finishes strong...Wish Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony leads the attack but is just mediocre with his verse (his 1st & only verse on the album), then comes newcomer Thug Queen... an ordinary female rapper with ordinary skills... she isn't bad… but leaves a bit to be desired… then comes Souljah Boy, who just rips the mic to shreads... reminding me of Mystikal a bit, Souljah Boy adds enough of his own uniqueness to make this an incredible lyrical onslaught... you got to hear this for yourself to understand what I am talking about... all in all… an okay start to the cd...

Souljah Boy then comes through one final time on the cd... with the next song "Mighty Mo Thug" this track features Layzie Bone and is probably one of the best songs on the cd! This is incredible stuff. He should have been on a lot more songs.

Another newcomer, Scant, comes through strong with his contribution "Heart of It", this song too features Layzie Bone and is an excellent addition to the cd.

"The Queen" by Thug Queen... just isn't working with me. Gets skipped most of the time.

This song was a surprise… a solo song by solo Bone Thugger Flesh N Bone. "Riot" sounds like a song from his solo album…perhaps "Riot" didn't make the cut on that album and just got thrown onto this one? I doubt it… this song is tighter than any on his solo album!

"All Good" by Felecia & Krayzie Bone is one of the tightest on the album…kind of a dance song, it sounds amazing... Krayzie Bone comes through with a very sweet flow at the end... this song I could listen to all day.

"Ghetto Cowboy"... this is an interesting song…at first I was like What the f..!! but after closer inspection.. this song is pretty damn tight! I like it more & more every time I hear it...it features Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Thug Queen & another newcomer "Powder", a white rapper…he sounds like a cross between Layzie Bone & Too Short. He might be someone to look out for in the future.

"Believe" is an okay track featuring the new R&B group "MT5".

"Urban Souljah" featuring the Graveyard Shift is a tight track with some incredible flows.

Krayzie Bone's song "Ain't Said No Names" is next… while this is a tight track (featuring the late Tombstone), it just isn't hittin like his song "Mo' Murder" on the 1st Mo Thugs… but still a tight track..

"Mo' Thuggin", "U Don't Own Me" (one of the 3 best songs on the cd), "Ride With A Playa", "Pimpin' Ain't Easy" & "Otherside" round out the rest of the cd…and every one of those songs (with the exception of maybe Pimpin Ain't Easy) are tight as can be.... all in all, this is an incredible album! And even if Bone was never your thang, there is enough diversity & great music on this cd to warrant a purchase. I'd give this cd a 8.5 outta 10... very nice.
